Our Products
We employ the very latest design and manufacturing techniques to create
exceptional custom iron entry doors for our customers. Our manufacturing
facility is ISO 9001 certified and maintains the Quality Standards set forth by
that certification. Our quality and craftsmanship is unequalled.
All of our custom doors are manufactured to the following general
specifications:
-
All our entry doors are made of 14-guage steel with 1/2" to 3/4" wrought iron
for design work
-
The weight of Old Iron Door entryways are supported by
barrel hinges with ball bearings and grease fittings.
-
All welding is SAE certified.
-
All hinges are welded on both sides to minimize any
risk of cracking in high traffic areas.
-
Most welding is performed from the inside in order not
to alter smooth finish line.
-
Doorframes are squared and leveled before the door
hinges are positioned and welded thereby ensuring a smooth operation of
the door.
-
Doorframes are squared to less than
¼ inch tolerance. A
½" flat bar is welded onto the bottom of each frame to maintain frame
integrity during shipping and installation. ½" flat bar is also used to
secure the door to the floor.
-
Each entry door includes double-pane tempered
insulated clear glass panels that open independently
from the doors. A variety of glass options are available.
Laminated high-impact glass is offered as an option.
This feature allows for ventilation, ease of cleaning glass, and the
option of being able to keep the door closed and locked while the
homeowner is talking to the visiting party.
-
All hardware necessary to operate and assemble our doors is included.
-
All doors are fully insulated with thermal injected
foam in the door, window frame and in the door sheet.
-
Each door undergoes a five-step paint process
completed in a clean paint booth environment and oven dried. Material
is acid washed, anticorrosive primed, 2 coats of base color, hand painted
faux finish with baked on satin overcoat to project finish.
-
11 gauge (1/8") formed frames are primed inside and out.
Most frames on the market today are rectangular tubing welded together and
coated with acrylics to hide effects of manufacturing.
-
Weather stripping around the door and glass frame. Our standard door jamb is 6", the door sheet thickness is
2" by 6" wide around the wrought iron opening.
-
Delivery time is now 14 - 16 weeks due to
the high demand of our products.
-
All Old Iron Doors come with a
limited five-year warranty.
-
All finishes are guaranteed for
one-year.
